Located just outside the picturesque village of Millthorpe in Central West NSW, Shinglewood Cottage offers a serene autumnal setting for indulging in the meditative art of hand-building with clay.

Designed and built by Ainsley Sullivan and nestled within a 120-hectare property, Shinglewood Cottage is a newly constructed modern farmhouse boasting breathtaking rural vistas.

Ainsley, an accomplished interior and events stylist, works regularly with Steve Cordony at Rosedale Farm and caters to her own clientele. Her distinctive style has been featured in Country Style magazine, showcasing her exceptional talent and eye for design.

Custom-built as a venue for photo shoots and events, Shinglewood Cottage also provides boutique accommodations in the heart of the esteemed Orange wine region.

In celebration of the area's stunning autumnal landscape, Shinglewood Cottage will host 'Clay in the Country' on Saturday, May 25th, a workshop in handmade ceramics in partnership with Milburn Handmade.

Ceramicist Nicole from Milburn Handmade will introduce participants to a diverse range of hand-building techniques, offering demonstrations and guidance to create unique, handmade ceramic pieces.

After the workshop, participants' creations will be dried, double fired, glazed, carefully packaged, and sent to them, ready to be cherished in their homes, whether holding flowers from their gardens or presenting homemade cakes to guests.

Throughout the day, attendees will be treated to delectable morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, ensuring a delightful experience from start to finish.
